Kaitlyn was raised in Everett, Washington. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Great Falls (now University of Providence) Summa Cum Laude. During her time at the University of Great Falls, she played guard for the Women’s Basketball team. She also interned as a file clerk at Smith Oblander, which ultimately led her to law school.

Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Montana, School of Law in 2017. As a law student, Kaitlyn interned at a civil litigation law firm and the local County Attorney’s Office. She was also an active member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association Student Chapter. After graduation, she was again pleased to accept a position with Smith Oblander & Meade, this time as an associate attorney.

Kaitlyn has a diverse practice spanning a myriad of areas including transactional work, construction related litigation, wills and estates, and personal injury. Kaitlyn dedicates substantial time to offering pro bono legal services through the Cascade County Law Clinic, and often serves as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for youth in need of care.

Kaitlyn is actively involved in the Great Falls community and currently serves as a board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Montana. Kaitlyn previously served as a board member of the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art (2018-2021) and served as Secretary of the Cascade County Bar Association (2017- 2021). Kaitlyn also volunteers her time to support servicemembers preparing for deployment.

When not in the office, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and paddle boarding with her dog, and an occasional pick-up basketball game.
